Renewable Energy GIS Analyst II or Senior GIS Analyst
Position Summary:
Atlas Renewable Power offers a full-time position to assist with solar and battery energy storage development in the renewable energy industry. This individual will work at the direction of project development and engineering teams to support mapping, site identification and due diligence efforts of new sites, preliminary site design efforts, resource evaluation, grid interconnection and other aspects of solar energy and battery energy storage project development within North America.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct desktop searches for potential project sites using ArcGIS and produce results in GoogleEarth
- Clearly communicate results and findings to team members
- Establish and maintain databases of relevant screening datasets
- Obtain parcel data and other GIS data/layers from public and for-purchase data sources.
- Coordinate with project developers to define key criteria for project site selection in various jurisdictions including parcel size, proximity to and characteristics of electrical infrastructure, topography, zoning, and environmental constraints, solar resource, wind and snow loads, etc.
- Visualize and analyze interconnection information, energy data and/or utility rates
- Run and maintain Atlas’ Toolset in ArcGIS Pro using python
- Oversee design and coding of new tools and features
- Manage offshore support staff
- Generate maps for professional project portfolios
Required Skills:
- A Master’s degree in GIS related field
- At least 3 years or more GIS and mapping software experience. ESRI ArcGIS preferred.
- Experience with spatial analyst tools, creating and editing features, manipulating large data tables; proficient in vector and raster data processing
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, Google Earth and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Python, R programming language and/or SmartSheet
- Knowledge of geodatabases and webservice architecture
- Have familiarity with land use, wetlands, threatened and endangered species, soils and other environmental constraints in order to assess the viability of land for solar power plant development.
- Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with multiple interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work remotely or in person when needed
- Detail oriented
- Strong project management skills to maintain progress on multiple ongoing projects with competing deadlines effectively

Renewable Energy Real Estate Acquisition Specialist
Position Summary:
Atlas Renewable Power offers a full-time position to assist with solar and battery energy storage development and related consulting services in the renewable energy industry and is hiring both Associate and Manager level positions. The Renewable Energy Real Estate Acquisition Specialist is responsible for identification of properties suitable for solar and battery development, real property negotiations, real property due diligence, and preparing the real property component of utility projects for financing and development.

Responsibilities:
- Lead real estate transaction activity including identification and screening of acquisition targets, and negotiations for real property options, leases and easements.
- Ensure the creation of appropriate land and transaction documentation and maintain orderly databases of key information.
- Keep clients and internal staff up to date with regular reporting on site acquisition progress.
- Manage associate support of real estate acquisition activities.
Conduct outreach to landowners via mailers and phone calls - Manage preparation of the real property component of development projects for financing by clearing interfering title matters, commissioning Phase I Environmental reports and ALTA Surveys
- Conduct preliminary permitting screening of sites with local jurisdictions and support the early stages of project permitting
- Generate, manage, and report project specific budgets and schedules.

- Advise clients and internal staff on any fatal flaws or issues that may prohibit acquisition or development.

Renewable Energy Project Development Manager
Position Summary:
Atlas Renewable Power offers a full-time position to assist with solar and battery energy storage development and related consulting services in the renewable energy industry.
The Development Manager will be responsible for the development of utility scale solar, solar + storage and energy storage projects through project management, contract negotiation, and transaction support across a pipeline of projects. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the U.S. energy industry, the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas, and the ability and enthusiasm to drive projects forward.
Applicant can work remotely or in the San Francisco, California office. Applicant must be willing to travel as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of project development from initial greenfield or acquisition efforts through to the start of construction.
- Manage project development plans, budgets, objectives, schedules, and deliverables for assigned development projects.
- Support and conduct due diligence including comparison and prioritization of projects based on risks, schedules, valuations, investment criteria, and other project metrics.
- Negotiate tax abatements, land use agreements, mitigation settlements, and various other agreements.
- Engage community, local, state and federal institutions for project support.
- Secure permits and ensure environmental compliance throughout the development, construction, and operation of projects.
- Manage interconnection, transmission and PPA process and compliance
- Support financial analysis and RFP submittals
- Coordinate engineering activities for obtaining permits and licenses for interconnection and transmission
- Manage contractors, vendors, and consultants to maintain project timeline, value optimization, and budget.

- Demonstrated achievement in developing projects from pre-development activities through advanced stage development and eventual commercial operations
- Understanding of development process and procedures (real estate, environmental, permitting, interconnection and transmission, finance and outreach) development timelines and the stakeholders involved in successful project development.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients, consultants and landowners.
